Wall Ovens

Remodel with Sleek Wall Ovens

Building a new home, remodeling an old one, or simply time for a new oven? There are several styles you can choose from when shopping for a new oven; there is the range or a cooktop and separate wall ovens. But which one is best for you?

What’s the difference?
A range is your traditional all-in-one oven. Wall ovens, are just that, oven that are encased in the wall. For this unit, you’ll need a separate counter or island cooktop. Traditionally, most homes have ranges; however, increasingly new or remodeled homes are installing the sleek wall ovens and cooktops.

What to consider when buying wall ovens?
Wall ovens or built-in ovens function the same as range ovens, just without cooktops. Wall ovens are designed to free up space in the kitchen and give it a custom, sleek look.

  • Styles - They come in single, Amana 30” Single Electric Wall Oven, double, Frigidaire 27” Double Electric Wall Oven, single oven with microwave, Frigidaire 30” Microwave Combination Wall Oven, double oven with microwave, or a combination of any, with our without a broiling or storage tray. Pick one that best suits your kitchens style. You’ll pay more for a sleek design or stainless steal than you will a black or white finish.
  • Check size – It’s important to consider if you’re replacing a current wall oven, installing one in a cabinet space, or constructed one into a wall or fireplace. Check to be sure the specs of your space and the specs of the wall oven are the same. Wall ovens come in 24-inch, 27-inch, and 30-inches wide. The heights vary depending on the style and combination you choose.
  • Gas or Electric – Most chefs use electric, convection ovens, but you should decide what suits you best. However, if you don’t have a gas line near where your wall oven will be then you’re decision will be simple; an electric oven it will be.
  • Cleaning – Your options are self-cleaning, continuous cleaning, and standard cleaning. Self-cleaning has a high-heat cycle, with temperatures as high as 1,000 degrees. Continuous cleaning ovens clean while cooking. Standard cleaning ovens must be cleaned by hand.

When wall oven shopping, be sure to do your research and buy the perfect appliance that caters to all your baking needs. In addition, look for wall ovens that offer special features like auto start or turn off, digital control panels, LED displays, digital timers, even-baking features, high and low broiler or double-broiler settings and storage drawers.
